How to Cope with Death

Losing someone. It's really hard. The sting of death... As I was meditating on the gospels I was inspired to write truth in distilled form-

Jesus first died in Gethsemane before Calvary.
Self needs to die in the garden to lift our burden.

Like He we first die in Gethsemane before Calvary.
Then by looking at the tree, from death we are set free.

Death becomes bearable when we have been on our knees.
Not on Mt. Calvary. But in Gethsemane.

Truth Nuggets

When reading the Bible try to distill the principles you can extract and come up with a one- liner to summarize these life lessons. Here are a few I processed after a meditation on Matthew chapters 26 & 27.

• Self is first crucified in Gethsemane before Calvary.
• Self can either be hanged on a “Judas tree” or a “Jesus tree.”
• You deny Christ each time you live a moment without Christ.
• No human crosses are too heavy if you would but look at Mt. Calvary.
• Christ’s righteousness isn’t bough; it is sought.
